Florence Zimmerman, at 64 years of age, died unexpectedly on Monday March 28th. She was a caring, giving, and kind person loved by all who met her. After 30 years of being Super Mom, she went to work for Publix as a cashier where she quickly became everyone’s favorite teammate and “adopted mom”. Florence enjoyed helping others and participating in Saddlebred Horse Shows throughout the Southeast with her youngest daughter, Ashley. Florence always put others’ needs before her own. A hero to the end, Florence saved three lives and gave sight to two people by donating her organs to five local recipients.
She is survived by her two daughters, Traci Schefdore and Ashley Zimmerman, her son in laws Bill Schefdore and Sean Morrison, her grandson Frank Youngner Jr, and her horse, Oscar. There will be visitation for Florence at Roswell Funeral Home on March 30 from 6pm to 8pm and on March 31 from 11am to 1pm; her Funeral Service will start at 1pm on March 31, with burial at Green Lawn Cemetery.
