Dale was born in Advance, MO to Luther and Irene Cox on 10/06/1946. He married Anna on 06/22/1968 in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University (BS) and Webster University St. Louis (MA). Throughout his career, he worked in Finance and most recently retired from St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Marietta, GA. As a veteran, he proudly served 6 years with the United States Army.
Dale was a kind man. His love for life and everyone in it extended beyond bloodlines, borders, and great distances. He never met a stranger. His sense of humor was infectious and captured the hearts of many. He loved all antique cars, especially his 1965 Ford Mustang. He never missed an opportunity to cast a line and the big fish kept growing.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, and several sisters and brothers whom he dearly loved. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna M Cox; his daughters, Susan M. Olson and Katherine I. Richardson; his cherished grandchildren, Makaila R. Olson, Meghan J. Olson, Brentwood “Peanut” Richardson, and Clayton “Walnut” Richardson; and his beloved siblings, Linda Cox, Mildred Vandeven, Rita Cox, and David Cox.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 17, 2022 at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road., Roswell, GA 30076.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 4905 Roswell Rd., Marietta, GA 30062 with Rev. Raymond Cadran, MS officiating. Military honors and burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA 30114. Arrangements are by Roswell Funeral Home.
