Clementina was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved being outside tending her garden and experiencing nature’s beauty. She loved all animals, from her family’s dogs (Ziggy & Oliver) to the birds in the yard or the more exotic pets in pet stores. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing and she was always learning new things from the magazines she would read. However, Clementina will be long remembered for her love of cooking and the way she expressed her love for her family through the foods she cooked. Whether it was chicken soup, veal or some other more complex meal, she would always make our favorite foods. Being the great cook that she was, everything was always so delicious, you never left hungry. Throughout her life, Clementina travelled many times back to her beloved Italy. Yet her true passion was her kids and especially her grandkids.
Clementina is survived by her daughter, Anna (Cesar) Salcedo and son, Ernesto (Pam) Caluori; grandchildren, Ryan Ottaviano, Antonio Ottaviano, Evan Ottaviano, Matthew Caluori, Kimberly Caluori and Kenneth Caluori; great-grandchildren, Emily, Cecilia and Lucien, as well as her sister, Lina Bassano. Clementina was preceded in death by her parents, Annibale and Ezilda Ferrara; husband, Carlo Caluori as well as her brother, Dino Ferrara. She is and will continue to be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date yet to be determined at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church to celebrate Clementina's life and honor her contributions to our world.
Clementina's departure leaves a void in our hearts, but her legacy of love will forever be cherished. As she often taught us: “Do good & forget about it, Do bad & think about it.” Meaning, do good for others, expecting nothing in return but when you do bad, consider how you can make amends.
