Mrs. Neely was born in Sunflower, MS. She attended Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, MS. She moved to Jackson, MS. and worked as a stenographer for the FBI. It was when she was in Jackson that she met her husband of 46 years, Tom Neely, Jr.
She was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church in Jackson where she volunteered and worked in the office. She was a docent at the Old Capital Building in Jackson and was a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants.
Mrs. Neely was predeceased by her parents, Benjamin Franklin Graves and Mary Hullum Graves, her husband Tom Neely, Jr, two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Rebecca and David Brentnell, Cumming, GA., two grandsons Brad and Gary Grimes, Alpharetta, GA., nieces, Helen Elizabeth Cranwell, Memphis, TN., Rebecca Ann Cranwell, Knoxville, TN. and nephew, Albert Bush Cranwell III, Huntsville, AL.
She is also survived by her best friend, Faye Chrisley of Alpharetta, GA. Faye was Catherine’s world! The family would like to thank Faye for her loving care and devotion.
