Caroline Marie Lucas, 68, of Alpharetta, GA, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024. Born on April 13, 1956, in Norristown, PA, Caroline was the beloved daughter of Edward W. Decker and Jean Parsons Decker.
Caroline is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Keith Lucas. Their enduring love story began in their teenage years and blossomed into a lifelong journey of shared dreams and unwavering companionship.
A dedicated educator, Caroline spent her career nurturing the minds of 7th, 8th, and 9th-grade students. Her passion for teaching and her ability to inspire young minds left an indelible mark on countless students. Caroline graduated Cum Laude from Gwynedd Mercy University, a testament to her commitment to education and academic excellence.
Caroline had a profound love for reading, which provided her with endless adventures and insights. She found great joy and solace in her garden, where she spent countless hours tending to her plants and flowers, creating a haven of beauty and tranquility. Her cats were her cherished companions, bringing her comfort and companionship throughout her life.
Caroline's warm, nurturing spirit and her unwavering dedication to her family, students, and passions will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and knowledge will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
Caroline is survived by her husband, Keith Lucas, her brother Randall Decker and his wife Nancy, and a community of friends, family, and former students who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
A memorial service to celebrate Caroline's life will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2024 at Roswell Funeral Home in Roswell, GA. beginning at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until the start of the service.
