In loving memory of my precious mom... kimberly

I knew Carol when we were children, I lived on South Holly Street and visited her to play, so knew her mom; we played in the attic, where her grandmother's furniture was set up to serve as Carol's playhouse.  And what a play house!  She was a great beauty in our graduating class, and I always admired her.  So sorry to hear of her death, after our seeing each other and talking at the 50th Highland Springs HS reunion. Mom,

You are gone, much sooner than I ever planned on you leaving.  Just as Kim said, there is a huge hole in my heart.  I have reached for the telephone countless times to call you just like I have done millions of times before.  It has been hard - I miss you terribly!  There are times that the pain is so great that I don't know how I will be able to live without you.  You were my strength and inspiration through all the hard times and my best friend my entire life.

But I know that your desire is for me to live.  To be the dad and husband that would make you proud.  And in your honor, I will.  My greatest desire in life was always to make you proud of me.  I will live the remainder of my life knowing that you are watching and cheering for me.  You and the heavenly host of angels that sit around the throne of The Most High.  What an awesome picture!

But please be patient with me.  I do not know what heaven looks like, nor do I know the joy and peace that you are experiencing.  I am but flesh and blood, and I am hurting and struggling to find meaning in this life without you.  You did teach me how to get up and be strong.  You are the strongest person I know.  

You are the "Wind Beneath my Wings".

Please accept and convey to all your family members my sincere condolences and deepest sympathy at this time of sorrow. It is never easy for any of us to deal with the loss of a loved one, especially for children, grand children, spouses or former spouses and parents.  Please know that your many friends, like me, during all the years we worked together, having built friendships with you and Carol, at this time our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family members. May God bless you and give you strength and peace during this time of sadness. May the fond and sweet memories of the life of Carol be uppermost in your minds, for all of you, and help the grief and sorrow to heal as you go forward.
