Betty Jo Mathis of Roswell, age 85, passed away on December 23, 2014. Betty was an avid sports fan, the Atlanta Braves being her favorite team. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Mathis; her parents, Hobson and Ruth Johnson; and her siblings Mary Anne Phillips, Faith Taylor, and Kyle Johnson. She is survived by her son David Mathis and daughter-in-law Jane Mathis; Granddaughter, Amanda Faith Mathis; and several close friends. The funeral service is to be held at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, on Saturday December 27, 2014 at 2:00 pm, with visitation held at 1:00 pm.
