Betty Lyon Flowers, age 84, of Ellijay died Saturday, Nov. 12th. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Martha Iva Lyon; and her husband, James Flowers. She is survived by her sons, Paul Davis and Joel (Vanda) Davis; daughter, Jenna (Eric) Diez; granddaughters, Ashleigh Davis, Lauren Diez, and Brooke Davis; grandsons, Cody Davis, Nathan Diez, and Jackson Davis and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Betty grew up and lived most of her life in the Atlanta area. She worked for Georgia Power Company and retired from BellSouth in 1995.
She enjoyed playing tennis and card games, but above all else, enjoyed providing love and support for her family, her extended family, her mom (Mama), and for her beloved 6 grandchildren. She was an amazing parent and grandparent (Nana / Nonny) and her memory will be cherished by all.

Her memorial service will be held at 4:30PM (with visitation starting at 3:30PM) on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 at Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076. Please note that funeral home has scheduled the committal and burial to be held at a later date.
During the memorial service, we will be reserving time for guests to have the opportunity to share their memories, thoughts, and stories.
