Born September 20, 1956 in Ridgewood, NJ to William and Helen Borduin, he grew up in the towns of Prospect Park and Hawthorne, NJ. A graduate of Eastern Christian High School, he attended Rutgers University and received his Accounting/Economics degree. In 2002 he moved with his wife and children to the Atlanta area of Georgia.
Barry attended Misty Creek Community Church in Sandy Springs, GA. He worked as a CPA for Barnes Merritt & Barnes LLC, previously attaining the role of Partner at Ronald Blue & Co. He enjoyed coaching most, if not all, of the sports his children played growing up in their youth. More recently he enjoyed traveling (having been to almost all 50 states), reading (you could usually find him curled up in an armchair with a glass of wine & his current espionage book of choice), and hiking with his family.
Beloved husband of Judith Lynn DeRitter Borduin for 35 years. Loving father of Craig, A.J. (Francesca), and Jade. He is survived by his mother Helen Van Abbema Borduin and pre-deceased by his father William Borduin. He is survived by his sister Pat (Jack) Steiginga and brother Jim (Louise) Borduin. He was pre-deceased by his brother William Borduin and sister Lynn Faber.
Barry is survived by his father-in-law Jim and pre-deceased by his mother-in-law Elaine DeRitter. Barry is also survived by sister-in-law Karen (Mark) Knorr and brothers-in-law Ken DeRitter and Kevin (Kris) DeRitter. He was uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00am. Visiting with the family will take place one hour prior to service at First Baptist Church of Sandy Spring, 650 Mt. Vernon Hwy Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
