Violet Sorenson-Packer (nee: Kirby), age 97, of Roseville, Michigan, formerly of St. George, Utah passed away August 4, 2011 in Center Line, Michigan. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth O. Sorenson and the late Ellis Packer. Loving mother of Karen (Dale) Henriksen and the late Sharon Swasey. Proud grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 20. Dear sister of Catherine Jenson, the late John A. Kirby, the late John H. Kirby, the late James Kirby, the late George Kirby, the late Andrew Kirby, the late Agnes Knapton and the late Florence Forbush. Visitation Sunday, August 7, 2011, from 2:30 until 5:00 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave., Roseville, Michigan. Interment will take place at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Virginia.
