In August of 1979, my family first set foot in Mt. Pleasant, MI. One of the most ecstatic persons welcoming my family was Uncle Vin and family. 

We lost our father during the Khmer Rouge reign, and Uncle Vin became our father/ father figure. Uncle Vin and my father shared unbreakable bond and iron convictions as brothers, family. 

As a young man, Uncle Vin have sat me down in various times and shared the principals he, my father, and their brothers have passed on to their male descendants… the principals of family, integrity, being a man, and more.

Who I am today owed a great deal to Uncle Vin’s teaching, guidance, and patience.

A part of me died on October 16th. I never collected  clocks until I met Vin Sou Pin  a honest and expert in his trade. Now in my heart,  the label does not read Roseville  clock Shop , but Vin Pin clocks. Good Bye Vin  you will always be missed.

We are all really sorry for your lost.  Mr. Pin has been our most respectful 
 person and a very close friend to our family, especially with my uncle (Taing, Cheng Huy).  Our deep sympathy and condolences to you and your families.   Seakleang Chheu and Taing Family in Windsor, Ontario.

My mom and I have been honored to have known Vin and his family for just over 20 years. Being their neighbors has been a blessing. Vin was a gentle, caring, and genuine man who loved his family very much. He took pride in his business and his family, and he was always smiling. Our sincerest condolences to Loeuy, Mai, Paul, Chloe, Zachary, and family.

While I did not personally know Mr. Pin, his daughter Mai has been a cherished family friend since she and my sister were in High School.  Our prayers and thoughts are with Mai and her family during this difficult time.

While I only knew Vin for a relatively short period of time, I can say he was a man to be admired.  He was not only a true family man, but someone with great ambition who worked extremely hard and overcame many obstacles to provide for himself and his family.  He will be dearly missed, but his memory and the lessons he taught will carry on.  My sincere condolences go out to the entire family during this extremely difficult time.

I am ever grateful to Vin and Loeuy for protecting and raising three charming, funny, and helpful children. Vin and Loeuy acted early on to protect others, as well. Their actions echo through the world today. I love you Mai, Paul, and Loeuy. I miss Bobby. Many of my actions today are shaped by Vin and all of you.

Uncle Vin was a quiet hero. He showed his strength with his actions and during hard times, he was there for my family. I am grateful to call him a father figure and will forever have memories running around the clock shop. Thank you Uncle Vin for your patience and kindness.

He was a very kind and admirable man. Our love and condolences go out to the entire Pin family.
