Tom grew up in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and graduated from Henry Ford II High School. He later went on to build his career as a phone line technician for Ameritech… until cell phones took over the world and phone lines were no longer needed. Tom was a great mechanic, knew what was wrong with a car by listening to it, and was able to apply that knowledge to his second career at O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Tom was a natural comedian who could make an entire room laugh with his witty jokes and charm. He enjoyed the simple things in life. He was an avid reader with a deep appreciation and respect for public libraries. His book recommendations to Josephine at an early age were what ignited her passion for reading. On the rare occasion you found Tom not reading a book, you could find him with a beer in hand while listening to his favorite band, The Beatles (the only music worth listening to, in his opinion). This would also be the only music played during the fishing trips at Stoney Creek and bb gun practice in the backyard with his sons, some of their most fond memories.
Thomas is survived by the beloved mother of his children, Rosemarie, and children Josephine (Matthew) Sobjack, Thomas (Christina) Farley, and Zachary (Samantha) Farley. Thomas was also proud grandfather to Matthew, Liam, Isabella, Zachary, Leonardo, Gianna, and expected grandson (April 2024).
