Robert J. Ploplis Jr. age 49, a lifetime resident of Roseville, passed away on December 25, 2021. He worked at Kroger since 1989 and leaves behind many fellow employee friendships. Rob was a sports enthusiast of the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Lions but most especially a Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed going to many Tigers games at Tigers Stadium and later at Comerica Park. Rob was an avid bowler, being on a league with his brother in law, nephew and friends. His claim to fame was always being able to pick up the 3 – 10 split. He enjoyed watching YouTube channels involving freighters, trains and others. Rob enjoyed spending time with his family, especially going out to eat at his favorite Big Boy and Buddy’s Pizza restaurants. He looked forward to going on family vacations and traveling to his favorite, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Beloved son of Rosalie and the late Robert Ploplis. Loving brother of Julie (Chris) Kratt. Proud uncle to Benjamin and Evan. Dearest nephew of William and Beverly Woytta, Ralph Ratiu and the late Robert (Nancy) Ratiu. Dearest cousin to many, most especially Joseph (Deb) Woytta, Carl (Sandy) Woytta, Amy Cherro, Robert Ratiu, and Cheryl (Randy) Machleit. Visitation will be Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 3 until 8pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave, Roseville, MI. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, instate at 10am until time of funeral service at 11am at Mt Calvary Lutheran Church, 8129 Packard Ave Warren, MI 48089.
