John Kyprianos, age 81 of Roseville, passed away on June 13, 2021, at home with his loving family by his side. John was born in Spetses, Greece, on January 11, 1940, to the late Anastasios and Efthalia Kyprianos. He married Stamatina (Kefaloniti) on April 16, 1972, in Spetses.
John was always willing to share a cup of coffee and usually had a story to tell. He lived all over the world in his younger years, and often told of his adventures of his time in Greece, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Monaco, and the Northwest Territories of Canada. He loved animals, particularly dogs and cheering on Panathinaikos, his favorite Greek soccer team. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, and he was usually able to persuade any one of them to stay for lunch or dinner, coffee included, of course. He could often be found telling a good joke or sneaking a cookie or slice of pie.
John is survived by his wife, Stamatina; his children Anastasios (Kathleen) Kyprianos, Kostadinos Kyprianos, and Demetrios (Elizabeth) Kyprianos; grandchildren John Patrick and Alexios; siblings Iordanis, Nikolas, and Giorgos along with several loving nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his faithful dogs, Coby and Shasha, who he loved very dearly.
