Janice grew up in Roseville, attended Sacred Heart School and graduated in 1958 from Roseville High School. Her first job out of high school was at Michigan Bell as a switchboard operator. After her four children (a set of surprise twins, and two more daughters) were in school, she was hired as the secretary/bookkeeper at Holy Innocents Church for 10+ yrs. She then went to work for Anchor Safe as their bookkeeper until her retirement at 70.
Her love of travel saw her off to Florida with four teenagers, with stops at mammoth caves, underground Atlanta, St. Augustine and Disney World. Later adventures would take her to Aruba, Dominican Republic and other exotic places, to California and Kentucky (ghost hunting), Atlantic City and Las Vegas.
When not traveling, she loved spending time up north at her cottage, which was next to her former family cottage, where she could paint, read or just simply relax.
Janice leaves a legacy of love and strength with her children: Michelle (Don) Glandon, Rodger (Karen) Siladke, Jr., Lynne (Brian) Birdwell and Laurie (the late Frank) Amalfitano. Proud Grandmother of Neil (Sarah), Brian (Megan), Bradley (Kayla), Brooke (Joe), Matthew (Mia) and Jared. Great- Grandmother of Samantha, Nicholas, Jackson, Aubree, and Harlow. Dear sister of Joseph (Anita) Lovell, Jr. and special sister-in-law of Karen Stenzel (Siladke), JoAnn Siladke, and Mark (Terri) Siladke. A beloved aunt and cousin to many and special niece to Erma Kreiselmeier. Predeceased by her parents Joseph, Sr. and Margaret Lovell.
