Debra "Micki" Lynn (DeClark) Spanke, age 62, of Harper Woods, MI, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 in Detroit. Debra was born October 21, 1960 in Warren, MI. to the late Raymond & the late Elizabeth (Kneiling) DeClark. She married Richard David Spanke on May 22, 1981 in St Clair Shores.
Debra is survived by her husband, Richard, her son Richard "Ricky" Daniel Spanke, sister Catherine Jo DeClark and her sisters-in-law; Michelle (Klinkman) DeClark & Nora Jean DeClark. Debra was preceded in death by her brothers Raymond "Rick" Frederick DeClark, Daniel Stephens DeClark (Twin) & Phillip Terry DeClark.
Debra was a free spirit and she had a fondness of strong women. Her mantra was butterflies are free. Some of the strong females she admired were Farrah Fawcett, Princess Diana, Anna Nicole Smith, Brittany Murphy, Lacey Chabert, Kate Hudson and Goldie Hawn. She had a love for movies and music always a song in her heart.
Debra loved working with animals and had taken in some rescue kitties (Alex, Samantha, Tabitha, Ally Mae, Louis & Tootsie) she enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and yard work, also decorating and painting.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 3pm until 8pm at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Avenue, Roseville. Funeral Services will be Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11am at the funeral home. Debra will be laid to rest in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp, MI 48038.
