

Charles Oliver Baril, age 73, of Roseville, passed away June 20, 2011 at home. Chuck was a sports nut. He loved his Detroit sports teams and regularly talked with his mother in the middle of games - especially Red Wings and Tigers games. He also loved to fish on his best friend, George's, boat and was proud to be the second mate. Chuck also loved auto racing of all types from dirt track to Indy cars. Chuck was an active member of the Roseville High Step Club. Chuck worked for the city of Warren for 30 years as a commercial tax assessor followed by over ten years in the same position for the County of Macomb. Chuck was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. Chuck is survived by his wife Andonina "Lee" Baril (nee: Canepa), mother Elizabeth, sister Shirley, children Roxanne Birchfield, Gordon (Helen) Baril, Susan Bobb, Robert (Loraine) Baril, Sandra (Richard) Woodard, Cindy (Gary) LaCasse, Sandra (Richard) Burgess, Michele (Rod) Patterson, Steven (Carolyn) Johnston, twenty-six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Oliver, and his younger brother, Dennis. Friends may visit Wednesday from 5 - 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 - 9 p.m. at Kaul Funeral Home, 27830 Gratiot Ave., Roseville.
