Scott was a good kid who grew into a good man-steadfast, determined, and kind. At the age of 16, his life was forever changed when what seemed like the flu turned into sudden paralysis from the chest down. Despite doctors being unsure of the cause, Scott never gave up. Two years later, he miraculously began to regain feeling in his toes and slowly started walking again. Though he never fully recovered, he faced every medical challenge with courage and fought through times when doctors feared he wouldn't make it through the night.
Scott went on to have a 30-year career at Lucent Technologies, retiring with a well-earned pension. He was incredibly proud that, despite his health challenges, he never filed for disability or took government assistance-a testament to his work ethic and pride in self-reliance.
His love for sports was undeniable. Though he couldn't run, he became a devoted Little League umpire and baseball coach, known for his deep knowledge of the game and his ability to recall even the most obscure rules. He was also a passionate and skilled fantasy football player.
Scott married Becky Ludovici and later divorced helped raise her two sons, Jason and Michael, as his own. Their bond was that of a true father and sons-full of love, respect, and unwavering support.
He is survived by his ex wife Becky, stepsons Jason and Michael Lee; brothers Kim and Kevin Currieri and Michael Howe and sisters Korinda Schultz and Paula Paulson. Scott's strength, wisdom, and humor will be missed by all who knew him. His legacy is one of perseverance, love, and quiet dignity.
We all loved him very much-and always will.
