in Pattonsburg, MO. He passed away peacefully
March 1, 2015 at home in Roseville, CA with his
family at his side. He was preceded in death by his
parents Roy F. and Omesa Walker; brother
Gerold Walker and sister Armond Quimby. He is
survived by his loving wife Dolly of 54 years; son
Clem (Trish) and Chris; granddaughter
Kendall Walker & grandson Neil Walker. Royce
was a graduate from Roseville High School Class
of 1946. He went on to the Maritime Academy to
seek his childhood dream of being a sailor. He then
joined the Merchant Marines and saw action in the
Korean War. He also served in the Army. Royce
retired from Sutter Memorial Hospital after 32 years
of employment in the Engineering department.
Royce had many achievements; the most challenging
and rewarding was looking forward to celebrating 50
years of sobriety in April 2015. The family gives
heart-felt thanks and appreciation to all the physicians
and nursing staff at Sutter Health for their tireless
efforts and compassion throughout his many years of
care. Also, a special thanks to Hospice of Roseville
for their compassion and dedicated service.
Visitation will be held at Lambert's Funeral Home,
400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, CA on Thursday,
March 5, 2015, 4 PM to 7PM. Services will be held
Friday, March 6, 2015 at Lambert's at 12 noon; burial
immediately following at the Newcastle Cemetery,
Newcastle, CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be
made in memory of Royce to the "Hybrid Surgical
Suite" in honor of Dr. Thomas Park. Make checks
