Phil is survived by his wife, Leronne, son Joshua (Sarah), daughter Trista Webb (Brad), three grandchildren, and a great-grandson on the way (2025). Also, brother Paul Wagner, half-sister, Judy Adie (Scott) and half-brother Cody McNeely and many extended family and friends.
He's preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty and Howard Wagner, in-laws, Pat and Don Calvin and sister-in-law, Donna Messenger.
Phil loved riding his motorcycle and scuba diving with the Dolphin Dive Club. His favorite thing to do was camping with his family. He tooled leather and was a Boy Scout leader. Phil and Josh restored a '71 Mustang Mach 1. He was a Sacramento Blood Bank donator having given over 700 donations.
Phil graduated from El Dorado high School and Sierra college & Chico State University, with degrees in agriculture. He spent time in the army and went to Vietnam.
Phil had various jobs in agriculture before he worked for the California Department of Food and Agriculture for 25 years as a special investigator. He served as President of the California Rural Crime Prevention Task Force.
Phil spent most of his last days with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friend, Frank, all who he loved dearly.
A memorial service for Phil will be held Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, CA 95678.
