Linda, 63, born in St. Helena, California, in 1947, died at home in Roseville surrounded by loved ones on February 23, 2011, after a long, courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Linda is survived by her loving father, Charles Saunders, and her devoted husband, Ron Montalvo; three beautiful children, Tracy Sarabia, Matthew Montalvo and Leesa Montalvo; grandchildren Erika Renee Sarabia, Steven Anthony Sarabia, Cameron James Sarabia, Michael Damian Raven and Jaylin Monique Fingers, and one great grandchild, Makayla Jade Sarabia; as well as her brothers, Mark Saunders (Arlene) and Michael Meredith-Saunders (Kelly).
Linda graduated from Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo, California, and lived for many years in San Jose, where she and Ron raised their family. Linda cherished her children and grandchildren and considered her friends to be family. She loved everything about life, from movies to music and dogs to Disneyland.
Even during her final days under hospice care, Linda’s capacity for joy, love, compassion and humor never left her. She had a special talent for happiness and will be missed and remembered by many. Like the “Dancing Queen” in her favorite song, Linda had the time of her life and was always in the mood to dance.
Services will be held at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville, on Wednesday, March 2, at 1 p.m. Flowers may be sent directly to Lambert or memorial donations made to Roseville Hospice. On Tuesday, March 8, at 1 p.m. Linda will join her mother, Allene Gordon Saunders, in interment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 7101 Verner Avenue, Sacramento.
