John Matthew Nicholson

In loving memory of John M. Nicholson who passed away August 29, 2016 at the age of 63 in Georgetown, California. He passed at the home he loved in the middle of the forest with family by his side. John grew up in Washington State and moved to California with his family in the mid 60’s. He worked for Western Electric/Lucent as a Lead Installer. John will be greatly missed by his family and many very caring friends. He touched the lives of many people with his humor, generosity and loyalty. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Nicholson. He will be remembered as a great brother by sister Donna Couch, brother-in-law Roy Couch. He loved his nephew Jim Couch, grandchildren Ashley Ashcraft and Jason Ashcraft with all his heart and they will miss him forever. He is at peace after his long struggle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at Georgia Slide Cemetery, Georgetown, California on October 22, 2016 at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, a remembrance may be made in John’s name to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2425 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95817.
