I never had the pleasure meeting Joe Navarro, but the stories I keep hearing lets me know I missed out on meeting such a lovely soul. My condelences to the Navarro family.

Joe was one of the most important ‘cogs in the wheel' that defined Colnar St. He affected and influenced the lives of at least 30 if not 50 kids from that era. (All of us in our 50's or 60's now). He would help each and every one with projects, repairs on toys, and even until recently repairs on homes. He helped us build and maintain the original ‘Sidewalk-Surfboards' in the 60's. Forth of July on Colnar St. couldn't have happened with out Joe. Each of us who grew up there knows and understands the importance of the steady influence Joe and Colnar St. had on us. To me he was a mentor growing up and a friend s an adult
 Everyone who knew Joe, and those who didn't were welcomed and no one was judged. Joe you will truly be missed and our love goes out to Stella, David, Linda and families.

I've been Mr. Navarro's mail lady for about 2 years and although I didn't see him often, I would see him relaxing in his garage at times and said hello!  My condolences to the family.

Joe was a man of great dignity, character and emotion. Everyone that knew him, loved him. He will be missed by all.

I remember playing ping pong in the garage until all hours with David back in the 70's... when I would see Mr. Navarro he was always gracious and smiling.. and tolerant of those too loud, up-too-late kids.  My thoughts go out to the Navarro family in sympathy and sadness for your loss.

My Dad and I played many rounds of golf with Joe and was a joy to be around. He will be missed. Buddy Carr

Denise and I would like to send our love and condolences to Stella, David, Linda, and their families on Joe's passing. Joe was one of the icons on Colnar St, which was a very tight knit block during my growing up years. I remember so well the block parties that we had and especially the many fond memories of Joe playing with us kids. I am sure that it was not always easy for him when we would all play with David and Linda at their house. But Joe put up with it and won us over with his warm and caring spirit. I feel that he was a positive influence in my life during my childhood years having lived across the street from them. I am so grateful for the lessons in life that he helped teach me by the way he lived his life. May you all find comfort in the many wonderful memories of Joe and how he touched all of us who knew him.

Cousin Joe, as a little girl I always thought of you and Stella as my Uncle Joe and Aunt Stella.  In my heart, it will always remain that way.

The memories Albert and I have of you will never be forgotten, especially in our older years.  Those great bus trips to Reno and playing bingo on the bus, golf tournaments, walks around the Roseville Auction, and especially our monthly breakfast at the Pacific Street Café in Roseville where you loved your ham. 
The journey to your God, is life. God was and will continue to look over you.
