Evelyn May Hanson

Evelyn May Hanson (nee Rudolf) of Roseville, CA, born May 1, 1943, passed away January 24, 2014 surrounded by cherished loved ones. Evie was predeceased by her father, Anton Rudolf and mother, Mary Rose (Falltrick) Rudolf. A lifelong resident of Roseville, Evie leaves behind her husband of 52 years, Gene, sons, Robert (Teresa) and Scott (Beverly) as well as her beloved grandchildren, Janiah, Brett, Samantha, Nicole, Brandon and three great-grandchildren, Yesenia, Antonio, and Navina. Evelyn's extended family includes her sisters, Nancy Lowe (Bill) of Carmichael, Marilyn Mitchell (Carey) of Dunsmuir, and brother, Paul Rudolf of El Dorado Hills, brother-in-law Bill Hanson and sister-in-law Cleo (Jim) Scutt of Roseville. She was predeceased by her mother- and father-in-law, Mabel and Clarence Hanson. Evie is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Evie was a genuine woman filled with love and acceptance, kindness and consideration. She struggled for many years with various physical ailments and fought through them all with a spirit unmatched. She had a laugh like a wind chime and always made everyone she came in contact with feel welcome and appreciated. She will be so greatly missed. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Lambert Funeral Home 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville at 10:00 a.m. Burial and reception will immediately follow at the Camptonville Cemetery in Comptonville. Directions will be provided. Flowers are welcome as well as donations made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
