Dorothy Jean (Simmons) Lenaburg was born in Grass VAlley on July 16, 1938 to William Alison Simmons and Dorothy (perry) Simmons. She passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 in Roseville, California.
She attended local schools in Grass Valley. After high school she enrolled at San Francisco State University where she majored in education and minored in music.
She taught school at Pleasant Ridge for a short time.
After marrying Don Lenaburg in 1963, they made their home in Roseville. She taught piano lessons and volunteered playing music in schools.
She was active with the job's Daughters and Eastern Star Organizations.
She was preceded into death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her cousin Karen Simmons.
As per her request there will be no services. Donations may be made to Shriners' Hospital for Children.
