I remember me and my dad were at this place called “ abc pho “ we were with my uncle, and me and my dad were messing around and I kept saying “ don’t mess with my dad he’s a savage..” I was only 7 when he passed but it feels like yesterday. I think about him everyday. I’m 13 now and still can’t get over the fact that my dad is really gone. I love him and miss him so much. I looked his name up and saw this. I js wanted to write this memory.

Brandon with his first-born son, Johnathan, who was 5 days old. He felt like the luckiest man in the world to be this boy's father. Brandon had just turned 19 years old on January 31st.

Shortly before I lost my son, 3 years ago today, he offered to buy my sobriety chip that year. I was turning 11 years sober on June 17th. It was the first time he had really shown how proud of me he was. I told him I didn't need anything fancy, that it would only be about $4. He said "no mama, you get you a nice one. You get one of those $10 ones." Even though $10 doesn't buy a nice one, it made me so happy that he felt like I deserved something really nice. He had given me a card to pay for it, but it wasn't until after he passed, that I was able to buy it. I spent a long time finding the nicest one I could get, within the $10 parameter he had given me. It took me a lot of searching, but I found a gold plated one on e-bay, and with using a coupon, I stayed as close to $10 as I could. 
I always play his words in my head, and they warm my heart. "no mama, you get you a nice one."

That is the cutest toddler in the world. Beautiful red hair, green eyes and a smile and laugh that was intoxicating. My boy.

Brandon, another birthday without you here to celebrate. Seems so quiet and sad. But surely you’re resting peacefully in heaven, and happy surrounded by love in that beautiful place. Miss you and think of you every day. Love, Aunt Cathy.

Brandon, a year has passed without seeing your big smile or hearing your crazy talk! You are missed and loved by so many.  Your memory and  your presence is strong with everyone who loved you so dearly. So many are keeping you in the forefront of your boys’ minds and lives. I find some comfort in knowing you are in a place of pure peacefulness, harmony and unending love with my Joey. I bet you two are a force in heaven as the angels from our families! Brandon! Crazy brandon. You were my brother's bestfriend. You were always so loyal to the ones you loved and you loved Jesus like he was your very own blood brother. You left a big very empty space in the Rodriguez family. Great memories growing up with you from living with us for couple weeks to always being at Jesus's house just kickin it. I loved how free spirit you always were with a smile all the time. My condolences to your kids and Family you will truly be missed and forever be remembered. #untilwemeetagain little bro.

Brandon, I was in disbelief hearing of your passing. When I first met you at work, you were so silly and always made all of us laugh. Never a dull moment with you. We’ve kept in touch throughout the years and you’ve always said how proud you were to be a father to your boys. I know your looking down on all of us. RIP my dear friend.

I've watched you grow from a boy into a young man with kids of your own.! My daughter went on her first boy/girl date (well not really a date) with you when you guys were in the 5th grade. I chaperoned at Rusch Park swimming pool. You have been a part of our family ever since.  You were a wonderful dad and a close friend to all three of my kids. Always so polite and respectful! I speak for myself and my kids when I say you will be missed so very much!! RIP Brandon! 

Brandon, so many of us are so heavy hearted and we all have special memories of you. You kiddo brought so much love and laughter to me and Michael and we are blessed to have had you in our lives. You will never be forgotten Son.
