Alice Mae Griffin

Born August 19, 1921 in San Dimas, CA, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2011, at the age of 89, in Rocklin, CA. Loving daughter of Orval A. Bisel and Lillie M. Newell. She enjoyed being with her friends, her cats, traveling, camping, joking and singing, but nothing compared to her love for and being with her family. She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Nancy J. and husband Larry 'Joe' Hampton, Diana G. York; grandchildren, Cindy Enos, Kevin Hampton and Shannon Michelle Jackson; 10 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward C. Griffin; brothers, Winford C. Bisel and Marvin H. Bisel; and gentle and caring grandson, Scott W. York. The family would like to thank Bobbi and Ted Stefan at Montclair Villa Care Home for their kindness and loving care. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 2 at 9:30am and Service will be at 10am, both at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd. in Roseville. A graveside service will be held at Newcastle Cemetery, 850 Taylor Rd. in Newcastle on Tuesday, August 2 at 11:30am.
