Alan is preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Christine Hickerson; his mother, Eileen, and father, Albert Walker. He is survived by his daughters, Michele and Melissa; sons-in-law, Kevin Lewis and Jim Espinosa; granddaughters, Willow, Haven, Rainy, and Ryder; sister-in-law, Donna Holsinger; sister, Carol Ann Benetto; and best friend, Sadie Marinoble.
There were many grand achievements in Alan’s 78 years of life. In his youth he had served in the Army and received a Good Conduct medal. They attempted to award him a Purple Heart as well, but he turned it down as he felt he had not earned it. Alan is now most fondly remembered as a loving father, and the best grandparent his grandkids could ask for.
Alan could often be found making or working on something. He kept himself busy with a variety of hobbies over the years. From building wood crafts and furniture to working on his cars and taking care of his yard, there was plenty for Alan to do. However there was always time for having his grandkids over for lunch and a swim in the backyard, or to watch some TV to wind down the day. Taking his pick of NCIS, Seinfeld, or tuning in to watch his favorite team, The San Francisco Giants. Alan also enjoyed trips to Lake Tahoe with family and friends.
A funeral service for Alan will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Lambert Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd, Roseville, CA 95678. Following the funeral service will be a burial from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Roseville Cemetery, 421 Berry St, Roseville, CA 95678.
