Clayton “Swede” Robinson passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at the age of 83 years. Swede was born on October 14, 1927 in Eatonia, SK to G. Glenn and Barbara (Brenenstuhl) Robinson. He married Loretta Dickie in October 1952 and they were blessed with their two adopted children, son C. Bruce in 1961 and daughter Judy in 1965. Swede worked for Jim McBain, Eston Rural Telephone Co., RM of Snipe Lake, a winter in a BC gold mine and 34 years with the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool. Swede is survived by his daughter Judy (Mike) Brewer; his grandchildren, Judy’s children Cameron (Jenna) Brewer and Leigh-Anne (Dean) Gutenberg and Bruce’s son Clairon Robinson; great-grandson Seth Gutenberg; brothers Dean (Norma) Robinson and Gordon Robinson; sister-in-law Ann Robinson; sisters-in-law Lois Ferguson and Margaret Moser. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Loretta in 2004, son Bruce in 1994, parents Barbara and Glenn Robinson, brother Lloyd, sisters Hazel and Vivian. The Memorial Service was held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Clements Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jo-Ann Hills officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Clements Rosetown Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
