Born on December 21st, 1939, in Rome, GA, Sarah lived a life full of love, kindness, and quiet strength. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and wisdom touched everyone who knew her.
She spent her life caring for her family, nurturing her children and grandchildren, and offering support and guidance to all who needed it. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, Bill, kids and grandchildren the most. She was a faithful member of the North Rome Church of God until she became ill.
She is survived by her husband Bill Horsley. Her children, Billy Horsley Jr., Randy (Gina) Horsley, Charlene (Dwight) Leonard and Jeff (Amy) Horsley. Also, she is survived by her grandchildren, Hanna Kaseric, Jeremy Horsley, Kris Horsley, Harrison (Shea) Horsley, Caroline Horsley, Ryan (Keara) Leonard, Will Leonard, Christian Horsley, Silas Horsley and Sebastian Horsley. Her great-grandchildren Jude Kaseric and Jolene Kaseric. She is also survived by a sister, Joan Harwell and a special nephew, Alan Beam. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Frances Ridley, and her siblings, Harold Ridley, Emma Abernathy, Mary Harris, Donald Ridley, Cornelia Meeks and Melinda Gaddis.
A legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those she left behind. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
The family would love to give their deepest gratitude to Affinity Hospice for their wonderful care especially Hanna, Autumn and Dana. Also to Pastor Bert Brooks for officiating the service. They have all meant a lot to the family over the years.
A visitation will be held on Thursday the 17th at Daniel’s Funeral Home from 12-2. The graveside service will follow at Eastview Cemetery at 2:30.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Horsley, Ryan Leonard, Harrison Horsley, Will Leonard, Christian Horsley, Silas Horsley and Sebastian Horsley.
