Robert Roland Tanguay age 62 of Rome, Ga, passed away on May 17, 2022 at Redmond hospital. Robert, also known as Rob, Robby, Bob, and Uncle Bob was born in Harford, CT on June 21, 1959. In 1988 him and his family moved to Bradenton Florida where him and his wife, Brenda, raised their four beautiful daughters. In 2005 him and his family moved to Rome, GA. Where he started working at James O’Neal in Bremen, GA. Which is where he met his forever work family. Robert was a true family man. With a love for life, he enjoyed cruises, fishing, Nascar, singing karaoke, and trips to KeyWest. Along with always talking about his parents and sister's trips to Cape Cod. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Robert was such a selfless man. Always there for everyone else and always ready to make people laugh. He loved like no other. He had so many “5th daughters” because his daughter's friends were daughters too. He made everyone feel safe, secure, wanted and proud. This man was a true angel on earth and he will forever be missed. He was predeceased by his mother, Margret E. Tanguay. Survived by his father Robert J. Tanguay, wife of 36 years, Brenda L. Tanguay, 4 daughters, Jennifer Gaudreau, Melissa Islam, Priscilla Hughbanks and Felicia Terhune. Son in-laws Mark Gaudreau, Daniel Terhune and Cody Tuck. As well as forever family Sam, Jason and John. Fourteen grandchildren, Timothy, Kaitlyn, Alexis, Robert, Samuel, Joseph, Parris, Taylor, Leeann, Story, Gracie, Leland, Zachary, Ellalynn, and one great grandchild Syrus. Four sisters, Mary Redmond, Joan Holloway, Janet Fitch, Judith Saleh and many nieces and nephews and many friends that he considered family. Roberts Memorial Service will be held on May 22nd at Daniels Funeral Home located at 901 East Second Ave. Rome, Ga 30161. Viewing will be at 12 to 2 and service to immediately follow.
