Pollyanna Edwards Horsley

Mrs. Horsley was born February 10, 1920 in Beaver City, Nebraska, daughter of the late Roscoe Miller Edwards and Eva Ona Atkins Edwards. She retired from J. C. Penney Company in Fresno, CA in 1979. Mrs. Horsley was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years and the Emblem Club and was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include her husband, W. Ray Horsley, to whom she was married April 5, 1942; one daughter, Patricia McAlpin of Rome; one son, Michael Horsley and his wife Carol of Fresno, CA; four grandchildren, Michael McAlpin and wife, Autumn, of San Clemente, CA, Matthew McAlpin and wife, Melodie, of San Diego, CA, Beth Lynn Davis and husband, J.C., of Modesto, CA and Rae Lynn Hobbs and husband, Brett, of Mesa, AZ; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Wall of Riverside, CA and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Horsley was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Roscoe Edwards, Robert Edwards and Jack Edwards and 4 sisters, Val Mills, Kate Lungar, Betty Smith and Berdean Fults.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3300 Garden Lakes Parkway, Rome, GA. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a favorite charity or to Amedysis Hospice, 12 Felton Place, Suite E, Cartersville, GA 30120.
