Paul Holcombe Scott

Mr. Scott was born in Elgin County, St. Thomas Ontario, on July 25, 1934, the son of the late Cecil Clarence Scott and the late Mildred Hazel Holcombe Scott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Wilcox Scott and one brother Robert (Bob) Scott, Ft Myers FL.

Mr. Scott immigrated to the United States at the age of 13 with his family and became a naturalized citizen in 1960. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He was employed in the field of home improvement sales and retired from Sears in 1992. Mr. Scott was an active member of Transfiguration Episcopal Church since the early 1970s.

Survivors include a daughter, Quinn R Scott Smith, Rome, a grandson, Kyle P Smith, Rome, a brother, David N. Scott (Linda), Amelia Island, FL, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 20, 2015, at 3 p.m. at Transfiguration Episcopal Church with the Rev. Linda Pineo officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church Memory Garden.

The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour. A reception for friends and family will follow the service in the church's Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Transfiguration Episcopal Church, 304 Coker Drive, Rome. GA 30165 or to a designated expense fund, the Paul H. Scott Trust at Citizens First Bank, 800 Shorter Ave. NW, Rome, GA 30165.
