Patricia Cora Hollis

Patricia was born in Rome, Georgia on June 15,1947 and was the daughter of the Late Admiral Dewey Hill and Rosa Lee Clarke Hill.

She was employed at Floyd Medical Center as a registered Nurse and also at Redmond Hospital and ended her career at Mercy Senior Care. She was loved and respected by all and was a big lover of animals and all life. She was an avid reader, loved to cook, loved gardening, was outgoing and loved to shop and spend time with her family. She was a beloved mother and grandmother and was selfless to the end. She will be eternally remembered and greatly missed.

She is survived by her two living children Lisa Hollis-Elkin-Casimiro-Hershkowitz born 1969 (Married to Jeffrey Hershkowitz) and Charles Steven Hollis born 1972. She also had a child Karen Lee Hollis-Tate (now deceased) born 1965. She had 8 grandchilren Amber Patricia Hollis-Moreland (Married to Christopher Moreland), , Amy Tate, Jordan Davis, Alexis Casimiro, Ryan Hershkowitz, Hannah Hershkowitz, Brooke Casimiro & Payton Hershkowitz. She also had a brother Bobby Joe Hill now deceased and a sister Barbara Ann Hill-Morley now residing in Canada.

The family will receive friends Tuesday June 23, 2015 from 1 pm until 2 pm at Daniel’s Funeral Home. A service will be held following the visitation at 2 pm in the Thomas B. Griffin Chapel of Daniel’s with Rev. Lee Smollar officiating. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery.
