Nelle Holloway Taylor

Following years of declining health, Nelle Patrick Holloway Taylor Died peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022 at a local nursing home. She was born January 5, 1931 in Rome, Georgia, daughter of the late Nelle Crenshaw Holloway Conn and Robert Ernest Holloway.

Patty was employed by Belk Rhodes for many years, working at all three locations – Broad Street, Riverbend Mall, and Mount Berry Square Mall, where she retired.

Patty was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Anne Moss.

She is survived by four sons, Charles Thomas Taylor (Teresa), David Livingston Taylor (Denise), Robert Dudley Taylor, all of Rome, and Patrick McConald Taylor of Oakwood, Georgia. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Additionally she is survived by a sister, Sandra Stringham (Joe) 0f Scottsboro, Alabama as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in the Thomas B. Griffin Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Deacon Stu Neslin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until the funeral hour.
