Lynda was born on January 10, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio. She was the daughter of Richard and Grace Pool. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, James Edwin Kerscher, two sons, Michael Kerscher and Craig Kerscher, a brother Larry Pool and his wife Betty. Lynda had one grandson, Timothy Cain Kerscher and his daughter, Me-Kah. Michael also has a daughter, Harper Lyn.
Lynda graduated from Whitmer High School in Toledo in 1961 with a major in Business and Accounting. She worked for John O. Davis as his accountant and business manager in Commercial Real Estate for four years. She married her husband Jim in 1965 and they moved to Lake Orion, Michigan where she continued her career in Real Estate for Shepard Realty in Rochester, Michigan. In 1978, Lynda and Jim moved to Rome, GA. She worked for Doctor Llorente as his office manager until he retired. She continued her career doing medical transcriptions for several doctors in the Rome community until she retired in 2007.Lynda’s hobbies included working outside in her yard and flower garden. She took great pride in the interior decorating of her house. The thing she liked most was traveling throughout the U.S.A. We went 55,000 miles from East to West and North to the South. Key points were Bar Harbor, Maine, Key West, Fla., Martha’s Vinyard and Mount Rainier, Washington. Lynda also loved working in the Rome Community, especially with Mary Hardin Thornton “Keeping Rome Beautiful.” She loved the painting of murals and working with the students from the high schools and Berry College. Lynda touched the lives of many people in her beautiful journey. She was a kind, generous and loving person. Those who knew her will never forget her genuine, happy and determined personality.
