Linda was born in Rome on Nov. 28, 1947, to the late Joseph L. Gaston and the late Geraldine Popham Gaston. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rhonda Faye.
Linda attended public school in Lindale, GA and graduated from Pepperell High School in Lindale in 1965. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama, Huntsville in 1981. She earned a master's degree from Florida Institute of Technology.
She retired in 2008 from Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) in Huntsville, where she worked as an accountant. She and her husband moved back to Rome in 2015 to be near family.
Survivors include her husband, Ray, her sister, Marie G. Carlisle (Charles), and her brother Phillip M. Gaston, all from Rome, and daughter Alice Grey, Atlanta.
