Johnny Otis Nelson

Johnny Nelson, 72, of Silver Creek, GA, departed his earthly life at his residence on Thursday, December 30, 2021. He will be remembered for his love of the Lord and his wildly entertaining stories.

Johnny was born to the late Dorothy (Wedel) Nelson and Arthur Nelson on December 26, 1949. He is preceded in death by his spouse, Bettie Jean Nelson, brother, Benny Nelson, and son, Johnny “Ray” Nelson.

Johnny leaves behind his children: Denise (Barry) Arther, Gary Nelson, and Chris Nelson; his siblings: David (Patricia) Nelson and Joyce (Lloyd) Vande; his grandchildren: Ashley (Coleby) Prater, Hannah Justice, Zander Hammett, MaKayla Nelson, Hope Nelson, Sarah Nelson, Skylar Nelson, and Paisley Arther; his nieces and nephews: David Nelson, Juanita Nelson, Bonnie Nelson, Terry Nelson, Deanna Nelson, and Christy Nelson; his great-grandchildren, Kaileigh Prater, Chloe Prater, Corban Prater, Mason Prater, and Ella-Kate Hammett.

Family, friends, and all people that he touched are invited to join his grave side service to be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Floyd Memorial Gardens in Rome, GA.
