Geneva Helton Hall

Mrs. Hall was born January 14, 1916 in Long Island, Alabama. She was married to the late Horace E. Hall who passed away in December of 1976. She was also preceded in death by a brother M.P. Helton.

Mrs. Hall worked for the Civil Service at Ft. Benning, GA. until her retirement at age 62. She then went to work for the Citizens Telephone Company in Vienna, GA. retiring from her second career at age 76. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vienna, the WMU, and the Senior Sunday School class. More than anything, she loved her family dearly.

Survivors include son; Stewart N. Hall and his wife Janet of Greenville, N.C, one daughter; Nancy Hall Slade of Americus, and son Meredith T. Hall and his wife Linda of Moyock, N.C.; one brother Ralph Helton and his wife Terri of Rome, two sisters; Louise Helton Dimmock of Conyers, Bonnie Helton Maxwell and her husband Robert of Bruton, Alabama. 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great, great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Services for Mrs. Hall will be held Thursday Jan. 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Thomas B. Griffin Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hall officiating. The family will greet friends briefly before the service. Interment will follow at Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Pisgah Baptist Church cemetery fund earmarked “Pisgah Perpetual”. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Hall can be sent to Mrs. Nancy Roberson, Sec/Treasurer 189 South Avery Rd. S.W. Rome, GA. 30165.
