Emily E Roberson

Emily E Roberson, age 84, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at the Spires at Berry College. She was born in Rome on September 14, 1938 to the late McKinley B. Williams and Mamie Worthington Williams and was a lifelong resident of Floyd County.

She was the proud cofounder of Elbert J. Roberson Auto Collision, a member of Second Avenue Baptist Church, an avid traveler, and, above all, a deeply devoted mother and grandmother.

Emily is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa (Ned) Webster of Rome, GA; daughter and son-in-law Haley (Jonathan) Lewis of Sierra Vista, AZ; son Elbert Roberson, Jr. (Diane) of Rome, GA; her grandchildren, Michael Webster, Ryan Webster, Hope Roberson, Emily Webster, Lauren Roberson, Gabriel Lewis, Elbert John Roberson III and Adam Roberson, her great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert John Roberson, four brothers, Sam Williams, Billy Williams, Harry Williams and Charles Williams; and two sisters, Grace Holloway and Louise Weathers; and her parents-in-law Leonard and Jessie Roberson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Daniel’s Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Following the reception of friends, a graveside service and burial will be held at Eastview Cemetery.
