Ava Mae Freeman, 20, of Rome, Georgia passed away January 2nd, 2022. She was born May 26, 2001 in Rome, daughter of James Kyle and Kacie Clark Freeman. She graduated from Rome High School in 2020. She subsequently studied Business Administration at Georgia Highlands College while working as an Assistant Manager at Hobby Lobby in Rome.
Ava will be remembered for her determination and independent personality. She was a kind, meek soul whose sharp wit and radiant smile brought joy to everyone around her. She was baptized in the Christian faith at Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church, attended Unity Christian School and was active in her Youth Group at Trinity United Methodist Church. Throughout her life, she enjoyed a myriad of sports including softball, basketball, and high school volleyball. A skilled painter, she loved art in many forms. Our daughter truly embodies Gal. 5:22 “But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
She is survived by her parents, Kyle and Kacie, sister Ruth Ann, and brother John Kyle; grandparents Howard W. and Joyce Clark; grandparents Gene and Faye Freeman Smith; uncle and aunt Michael and Kellie Curry, cousins Lily (Ryan Haley) and Frank; aunt and uncle Gloria Ann and Jim Noles, cousins Zac Pool and Lauren Bates. She was preceded in death by grandmother Mrs. Frankie Clark and grandfather Mr. Jimmy Freeman. The service will be officiated by Pastor Rev. Mac McCurry. The Rev. Joe Palmer will officiate the burial service at East View Cemetery. The following will serve as active pallbearers: Kyle and John Kyle Freeman, Mike and Frank Curry, Matthew and Alexander Stevens.
Arrangements will be overseen by Daniel’s Funeral Home. Her family will be receiving friends Tuesday, January 11th from 6:00-8:00pm at Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia. A service will be held at Pleasant Valley North Wednesday, January 12th at Noon, followed by a burial service at Eastview Cemetery. The Freemans greatly appreciate the countless friends and family who have prayed for us and helped support us during this time.
