William E. “Bill” Cunningham, 83, died on February 4, 2014 in Rogers. He was born on November 2, 1930, in Bentonville, Arkansas to the late Roscoe H. and Ida E. (McDaniel) Mason- Cunningham. He was the loving husband of Betty (Best) Cunningham, for 63 years.
Bill served in the Us Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, in which he had served on the board of trustees and was a faithful usher.
Bill enjoyed woodworking, gardening, taking care of the yard and keeping the family’s cars running. He also loved Southern gospel music.
He is survived by his wife of Rogers; two daughters, Twila Wood and husband, Randy of Fayetteville and Tonya Pierson and husband, John of Rogers; three grandchildren, Loni Wood, Joshua Pierson (Shelby) and Cassie Pierson; two great grandchildren, Weston and Riley Pierson; two sisters-in-law, Connie Best and Francis Mason; several nieces and nephews; and two beloved cats, Romper and Rowdy.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ivan Cunningham, Wayne Cunningham, Bert Cunningham, Lester Mason, Ray Mason, and Clayton Mason; sisters, Alice Littleton, Bernice Peel, Marie Cunningham, and Mary Lou Hendrix; granddaughter, Heather Nicole Pierson.
A visitation will be Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 2 until 4pm at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be on Monday at 2:00pm in Benton County Memorial Cemetery.
