Sharon Ann Nelson, 80, passed away on November 16, 2023. She was born on February 25, 1943 to Nellie Cash in Joplin, Missouri. She joined the Penn family with the marriage of Floyd Penn and Nellie Cash on April 5, 1946.
Sharon was a gentle woman who loved to serve others. She was an aide to the special needs children in the Bentonville School District. In her later years, she worked in the kitchen at the Arts Academy in Rogers.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Susan J. Penn.
She is survived by her son, Robert Nelson (Adele) of Texas; brothers, Stephen L. Penn (Patricia) of Rogers, Arkansas and Samuel D. Penn (Kathy) of Pineville, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service is Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in Bentonville Cemetery.
