Ruth E. Collins, age 84, of Rogers, Ark., went to be with her Lord on Feb. 13, 2012. She was born on Feb. 5, 1928, in War Eagle, Ark., to John H. and Gladys Ecton Blackburn and was a lifetime resident of the area. She married Virgil F. Collins on Nov. 26, 1969. He preceded her in death along with her parents and three sisters. She retired from Rogers Public School food services after working 18 years at the Rogers High School cafeteria. She was a Christian and attended The House of God. She is survived by a brother, Joe Blackburn of Rogers; a sister, Lola Smith of Stillwater, Okla.; six nieces, Billie M. Bross, Ima Lou Rust, Edith Robertson, Lilly E. Harris and husband, Buck, and Francis Brown, all of Rogers, and Shirley Leach and husband, Jimmie, of Gentry; two nephews, John Elliot of Rogers and Lee Bell and wife, Ila Faye, of Stillwater, Okla. She is also survived by three very special friends, Sheila and Ernie Stanley and Deloris Brown of Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at the Callison-Lough Funeral Home Chapel. Private burial followed at Rogers City Cemetery.
