Born and raised in Arkansas, Robert spent most of his life spending time outdoors, working, and enjoying time with his loved ones. Earlier in life, he spent many years working devotedly for Tyson as the Superintendent of Maintenance. He spent his most recent years working with his son, working for a specialty equipment company and helping construct boat docks. Robert was a jack-of-all-trades and an extremely hard worker.
He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting deer and turkey in his spare time. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time out on the water in his kayak. He had a soft spot for animals and kept many as pets throughout the years; his children recount tales of him keeping various exotic animals in the house, including bears, bobcats, coyotes, pythons, and even a Siberian tiger. When it came to sports, Robert loved to root for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Kansas City Chiefs. He had a good sense of humor, and his character always seemed to draw people to him (even though he preferred his solidarity). Though he enjoyed his privacy, the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren was cherished and filled with love and adoration. He left a great impact on anyone who knew him, and he will be dearly missed by his family and his friends.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Ora and Ruby Parks; daughter, Keri Nicole Parks; son, Robert Alan Parks Jr.; brother, Elmon “Sonny” Parks Jr.; and sister, Delores Murphy.
Robert is survived by: sons, Chris Parks of Garfield, Carl “Jeff” Parks of Rogers, and Adam Parks of Bella Vista; daughters, Delana Brewer (Gary) of Rocky Comfort, MO, Sara Nelson of Kansas, and Caitlyn “Paige” Parks of Rogers; sisters, Elaine Ivy of Oklahoma City, OK, Dorothy Dail of Rogers, and Ruby Louise Parks of Independence, MO.
