Nancy Jeanne Rakestraw

Born March 18, 1931 in Springfield MO. She was the daughter of Virgil and Mildred Hartley.

Her husband of 40 years, Melvin Rakestraw, preceded her in death in 1991. Melvin and Nancy relocated Rakestraw’s Ready to Wear from Greenfield MO. to downtown Bentonville in 1957. She worked in the office of Bear Brand Manufacturing in Bentonville, AR for a number of years. She retired from Pel Freeze Biologicals of Rogers, AR. She enjoyed her family, her dogs, movies with friends, traveling and singing with the First Baptist Church Saints Alive Senior Choir.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Don Hartley ,of Springfield, MO.

Survivors include three daughters: Jeanne Farley and husband Jim of Carthage, MO.; Donna Scoggins of Powell, MO.; Barbara Hobbs and husband Nick of Rogers, AR.; four grandchildren : Ashley Long of Webb City, MO ; Tiffany Norwood and husband Josh of Bella Vista, AR , Corbin Hobbs and wife Allie of Rogers, AR. and Kearsten Hobbs, two great grandsons and two nieces.

Visitation is scheduled Friday, April 13, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rollins Funeral Home on Highway 102, Rogers, AR.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday; April 14, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers, AR. Pastor Wes George will officiate

Arrangements are under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home, Rogers, AR.
