Nancy June Culp passed away on July 26, 2022 in Rogers, Arkansas. Nancy was born to the late Shirley and Charles Pflieger on October 13, 1943 in Oneida, New York. She was one of four children of Shirley Pflieger. She often shared fond memories of spending her childhood with her beloved grandparents Willis and Eunice Rickard of Oneida, New York. Her grandparents ran a family owned and operated jewelry store in downtown Oneida named Rickard's Jewelers. During high school she worked as a candy girl at the local movie theater, Kallet Theater, in downtown Oneida. She worked in the theater alongside her lifelong best friend Sherry Urgani. After graduating in 1961 from Oneida High School she took a job as a secretary at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome, New York, She married her high school sweetheart in 1963 and the following year her job relocated her and her husband to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. There she started her family of four children. Her first child is Jeff Nichols (wife Jennifer and son Jordan) of Deer Creek, Oklahoma followed by Kristi Nichols Lang (daughter Emily and granddaughters Paisley and Piper) of Yukon, Oklahoma then came Andrew Nichols(son Cleyton) of Moore, Oklahoma and finally came Kelli Nichols (sons Riley and Kolby) of Yukon, Oklahoma. The two of them raised their four kids in Oklahoma until they parted ways.
In 1980 Nancy married the love of her life, Joseph Culp, Lt Colonel USAF. Along with Joe came his two wonderful children Julie Harrell (husband Gene sons Blake and Zachary) of Mount Pleasant, Texas and his son Brian Culp of Altamonte Springs, Florida. Soon after Nancy and Joe married Joe's career relocated them to Fairborn, Ohio and another work relocation took them to Lewisville, Texas and they finally retired to beautiful Beaver Lake in Rogers, Arkansas where they have resided ever since.
Joe and Nancy embarked on many wonderful adventures. The two truly traveled the world many times over. They have shared their delightful stories with so many through their pictures and found treasures along with a wealth of historical information from around the globe. Their trips to these exotic and fabulous locations gifted the two of them with many great friendships.
Nancy had a lifelong love of antiques, this was evident in the home she shared with Joe in Rogers. Any who visited them would be given the grand tour from Nancy. She could tell you where these lovely items were discovered along with their value and all their history. It was remarkable the passion she had for antiques. Nancy was also quite the hostess. She loved to entertain at her home. Any who ever had the pleasure of staying in her home knew the extreme level of her hospitality. She was very passionate about sending cards and notes and her Christmas card list was absolutely huge. Her family and friends will always remember her love for adventure, her craftiness and all around spunk. A great time was sure to be had in Nancy's company. She will be missed by so many!
