Milton Thomas (Tom) Cash, 65, of Bella Vista, AR left this world on Wednesday, August 18, 2010. He was born January 23, 1945 in Buena Vista, VA to Thomas William Cash and Bertha Beatrice Clark Cash both of whom preceded him in death. Tom received a dual degree in Psychology and Sociology from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA. He then spent the rest of life working with underprivileged children and adults in both Colorado and Arkansas. He touched many lives while working at The Salvation Army, Colorado Christian Home, Charter Vista, Washington County Juvenile Detention Center and as a foster parent for DHS. Tom spent the last 13 years of his life working with developmentally challenged adults and children through various Medicaid waiver providers.
Tom was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading and was an amateur Texas Hold’em poker player. He enjoyed playing in both home and charity tournaments. Tom’s greatest interest however, was his children. Tom was an active father, coaching ball teams, teaching golf, assisting at the school, swimming, and fishing. He was happiest when with his children and dedicated his life to ensuring their happiness and success.
Tom is survived by his wife Pam and children Cody and Megan all of the home in Bella Vista, AR. He is also survived by his first spouse Betty Cash of Buena Vista, VA, sons Troy Cash and family of Fayetteville, AR, and Trace Cash and family of Fayetteville, AR, and daughter Tammy Montgomery and family of Golden, CO. Tom was blessed with 7 grandchildren, each of whom he loved dearly. Tom is preceded in death by his sister Lizabeth Firebaugh. He is survived by siblings Clara Green, Margaret Blake, William Cash, Clyde Cash, Mary Rivers Vaders, Betty Jane Taylor and Dudley Cash.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held Saturday, August 21st at 10:00 AM at the Rollin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers, AR.
