She was the loving wife of the late Alvin York Lanier.
Martha really loved her church, Charity Baptist, and was a faithful member for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Mary Ola McVey.
Martha is survived by her son, Bobby Lanier and his wife, Dotty, of Arizona; daughter, Pat Chaple and her husband, Harry, of Huntsville, Ark.; sister, Editha “Dot” Blakeney; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Rollins Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Marshall Cemetery in Huntsville at 1 p.m.
A visitation will be Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. in the chapel.
