Until the age of 18, she lived in Nicut, Oklahoma, and graduated from Muldrow High School. At 18, she moved to Gateway. This home was to become one of her most beloved places.
She loved to garden, fish, and decorate her home. Her passion was collecting things from buttons and marbles, to puzzles and oil lamps. Not only was she an excellent collector, she was a fantastic cook. Linda enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Linda was most happy when they all came to the house for Bar-B-Q’s and swimming in her pool.
She opened her arms to everyone and treated them as if they were family.
Linda also loved her pets, Biscuit (dog) and Sunshine (cat). Overall, Linda lived life to the fullest. She was a beautiful woman both inside and out, always helping others. Linda will be deeply missed by everyone that she touched. We know that God has given her a beautiful new home in heaven and that we will one day be reunited.
She is survived by her son, Billy Tate and wife, Barbara of Garfield; her daughter, Tammy Pierce and husband, Sean of Garfield; seven grandchildren, Anthony, Josh, Jeremy, Ashton, Megan, Adrienne, and Andrea; five great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Marzene McKenzie from Garfield, Sue Case from Pea Ridge, Wilma Hall and Patricia Hurley both from Roland, Oklahoma.
She was preceded by death by her parents and 3 brothers, Harold, Earl Dean, and Joe Duty.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 5 until 7pm, in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be on Thursday at 10am in the Chapel.
